Veteran Background
Dr. John F. Freiler is a decorated Air Force Certified allergy and immunology specialist who retired from the military in the grade of Colonel in 2021. With Dr. Freiler’s 22 years of active duty military service and has served as the Chief Consultant to the USAF Surgeon General for both Allergy Immunology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Freiler was compelled to use his many years of medical expertise to answer the call of serving the San Antonio, TX community.

Entrepreneurial Journey
In 2021 Dr. Freiler attended the Boots to Business entrepreneurial training program facilitated by the UTRGV Veterans Business Outreach Center in collaboration with the SBA San Antonio District Office. Having validated his interest as an entrepreneur, he continued with the Boots to Business Revenue Readiness program, taking advantage of Mississippi State University instructors, interactive business plan software LivePlan, and additional market research tools. Upon graduating from the Revenue Readiness program, he was provided one on one counseling by Marcus Villagran, Business Outreach Specialist from the UTRGV Veteran’s Business Outreach Center, to further solidify his business plan and projections.
Economic Impact
In August 2021, Dr. John F Freiler was happy to announce his success as the Founder and CEO of Premier Allergy of Texas. Through his journey as a model Boots to Business candidate, graduate, and entrepreneur, Dr. Freiler effectively leveraged a $350,000 project cost while onboarding four full-time / 1 part-time staff members through a combination of owner equity injection, tenant improvement funds, and a small business loan.
Dr. Freiler continues to share his passion for clinical medicine and is proud to use his expertise to offer state-of-the-art allergy and asthma diagnostics and treatments for patients under his care as an immunology specialist in San Antonio.
